First Weekend: London

Its been a crazy but legit first 2 weeks here in Europe. I've been in 3 countries so far since I left and that's just the beginning. For the start of the program we went to London for 2 days to get acclimated to Europe I suppose. London is huge city, with lots of history and people. I remember it being dark and kinda gloomy when we got there and it turned out to be pretty much that way. Not to say the whole city is though, London is ridiculously vibrant with life.

Kensington Park. A beautiful park with gardens and a pond and such. Close to Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace.

The first story of London I can remember is when my friend Leo got stopped by random Jamaican security guards at this store. He didn't actually steal anything but the guys came running after him yelling "where's the product?" After a few tense moments he managed to prove his innocence and get back to the hotel. Which was sweet by the way. I'm pretty sure I said "where's the product" in a half Jamaican, half English accent the rest of the day.

Besides those shenanigans we went out the first night to see what the great city had to offer American college students in terms of booze and dancing. Like you didn't know. After many bright lights and a raucous strip search and outrageous cover charge (minus the ladies of course,) we actually got in to a semi-decent place. Whatever.

There's more stories but I'll skip to the highlights I suppose. Some of them were:

Big Ben. It was really huge actually and a pretty sweet sight.

The London Bridge.

A statue by Buckingham Palace. I just thought it looked fierce.

I couldn't get a single good shot of this place. But this is a shot of the Queen's pad. Not bad I guess.

----

We only had 2 days in London so it was very short, but a good experience overall. We left for Florence at a brisk 4am to fly at 7am to Rome. We all really just stayed up from the night before so it wasn't bad. The vidoes I took are taking FOREVER to upload so those will come up later. Leave comments so I know some actually reads this. Or on what you want me to say. That is all.

Next up is some Florence and other Italy stuff so far.

Travel like your going somewhere...
Ciao, Romulus
